Fall Market Remains Strong

The market in the greater Charleston metro area in 2017 is nearly 20% above its pre-recession peak according to a recent article in the Post and Courier. As a market-wide average this is a strong number for our area - This data is surely skewed by new construction communities which we see rising all over the area, but is also indicative of strong price increases in Charleston's older neighborhoods as well.

Our firm has had a strong year thus far showing good sales numbers well into the fall season. With an average transaction over $925,000 per closing, our firm is squarely in the top three luxury firms in the area and consistently delivers exceptional service throughout the Charleston county market.  Our firm broke another MLS record this year with the highest price paid for a home in the area. 85 Blue Heron Pond on Kiawah sold off market for over $15M earlier this summer. This marks the 4th of the last 5 years that Daniel Ravenel Sothebys can boast the highest price paid in MLS. We pride ourselves on representing buyers and sellers at the highest reaches of the luxury market in Charleston. This high level of service is extended to our mid-market and modestly priced listings as well, with all our agents consistently offering "Million Dollar Service at Every Price Point"

I am pleased to present our quarterly market report which provides statistics and valuable data about our area! This year continues to see measured price growth in most low-mid market price ranges, with most sub-markets showing increases in average price per square foot.
